How to List iPhones to Sell Faster (And Stop Getting Ghosted)
You ever scroll through Marketplace and see listings that make you go:
“Bro, no one’s clicking that.”
That’s half the competition right there.
If you want to sell a used iPhone fast (and without dealing with 10 “Still available?” ghosts), your listing needs to look like something a real person wrote. Not a scam. Not a reseller bot. Just a clean, human post.
Here’s how I do mine — the ByteFlip way:
1. Photos Sell the Phone (Don’t Overthink It)
- Take 5–6 clear photos in daylight
- No weird filters. No blurry screenshots of battery health — take a pic of the actual screen
- Show:
- Front of the phone (screen on)
- Back (especially if there’s any damage)
- Battery Health screen
- Accessories included (box, charger, case)
- IMEI or serial (blurred if visible)
ByteFlip tip: Wipe the phone — literally. A clean phone looks more trustworthy.
2. Write a Title That Gets Clicks
Bad:iPhone 11
Worse:Phone for sale
ByteFlip Approved:iPhone 11 – 128GB – 87% Battery – Unlocked – Great Condition
The title should include battery %, condition, and storage if possible. Make it searchable.
3. Description That Actually Helps
Keep it clean. Answer the stuff people always ask:
- Model + storage
- Battery health
- Condition (scratches? replaced screen?)
- Any issues (Face ID not working? Say it.)
- Unlocked or carrier locked?
- What’s included (box, charger, case?)
- Price + flexibility
- Preferred meetup area
Write like you’re texting a friend. Vague listings attract vague buyers.
4. Price Like You Mean It
- Check sold listings, not what people are asking
- If you’re in a rush, undercut by $10–20
- “Price negotiable, lowballers ignored” works — or just be chill and reply politely
5. Trust Tricks That Actually Work
- Mention battery health early
- Say “Reset & ready to go”
- Say “Face ID works / no iCloud lock” — reduces dumb questions
- Mention a safe meetup location (police station = bonus trust)

ByteFlip Wrap-Up
Most iPhones don’t sell fast because people list them like they’re doing you a favor.
Your job is to make it easy for the buyer to say yes.
The more trust and info you give up front, the fewer annoying messages you’ll deal with.
List smart. Flip faster. Done.
